Marketing Manager

Job Objective:

The marketing manager is tasked with developing plans to establish the company’s brand, managing resource allocation for various projects, and setting and monitoring teams goals and the departmental budget. This role involves crafting marketing strategies, including overseeing design, advertising, and events, and requires extensive collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. The Marketing Manager ensures that the department’s goals align with the company’s direction, vision, and mission, maintains a consistent brand message, and explores new market opportunities or expands market share. The marketing manager is responsible for the company’s overall marketing and communications strategies, including branding and image. This position reports to the Executive Director and is based at the Company’s Headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.

Job Description:

  • Allocate and manage resources and budget: Oversee and manage cost and allocation of budgets for marketing projects and activities.
  • Strategic planning and Execution: Oversee the creation and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns, including track and analyze the performance of marketing events, campaigns and initiatives.
  • Creative content approval: Oversee and review marketing materials, to maintain consistent brand message and brand image.
  • Team Leadership and collaboration: Supervise the marketing team and provide guidance and feedback. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment to achieve marketing goals.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan, craft, implement strategies for the Company, including digital, advertising, communications, creative, and events.
  • Produce ideas for promotional events or activities
  • Guide the day-to-day activities of the marketing team and department.
  • Supervising design, advertising and organizing events, such as product launches, campaigns for corporate promotion, exhibitions, roadshows, company conferences, and major events.
  • Overseeing marketing materials, marketing proposals and projects
  • Preparing and monitor monthly, quarterly and annual budgets for the Marketing department
  • Setting, monitoring and reporting on team goals
  • Participate in quarterly and annual planning of company objective
  • Prepare, monitor and report the annual marketing plans, progress and performance
  • Supervise the marketing department and provide guidance and feedback to the team and other marketing professionals
  • Attending meetings and meetings with clients
  • Establishing and maintain relationship with potential, new and current clients.
  • Promote product offerings
  • Identify opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share.
  • Design branding, positioning and pricing strategies
  • Developing strategies to ensure products and services meet customer’s expectations and build awareness and credibility of the brand.

Requirement:

  • At least 10 years of relevant marketing experience
  • Proven campaign and strategies experience
  • Demonstrate experience in marketing together with the potential and attitude required to learn.
  • Experience with digital and print marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing.
  • Professional chartered marketer (CIM) is a plus
  • BSc/BA in business administration, marketing and communications or relevant field
  • Experience with market research and having an understanding of trends.
  • Analytical skills and organizing skills
  • Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets.
