Green Technology Park in Pahang welcomed a group of 15 visitors from the Faculty of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences at UPM. The group consisted of 13 students pursuing their Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology and two esteemed lecturers, namely Assoc Prof. Dr. Rafein and Assoc Prof. Dr. Zulkhairi. During the two-hour visit to the paper making factory, the students were provided with a comprehensive briefing on the woodfree paper manufacturing process using oil palm empty fruit bunches. This educational trip proved to be highly informative for the students as they acquired valuable knowledge about the utilization of oil palm biomass in the industry.
