Forests and Health Volunteer Programme

Nextgreen employees joined the ‘Forests and Health’ volunteer program at Taman Tugu Negara, Kuala Lumpur, organized by Free Tree Society. It aligned with International Day of Forests, promoting the theme of “Forests and Health.” Participants went on a biodiversity walk, spotting native trees like the Merbau. They planted Hopea Odorata or Cengal Merawan Siput seedlings, fostering environmental appreciation and knowledge. Nextgreen employees also joined the Volunteer and Learn event aligned with World Water Day which falls on 22nd of March every year. They learned about rainwater harvesting, collecting, storing, and using rainwater for tree watering. Rainwater is free, reduces bills, and is eco-friendly by reducing stormwater runoff.
