Puan Elina Jani joined the group on 19th May 2025 as the Chief Executive Officer of Nextgreen Biomass Sdn. Bhd., the wholly-owned subsidiary of Nextgreen Global Berhad. 

She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) in Science, majoring in Microbiology from Universiti Malaya (“UM”) in 2004. She is a life member of several professional societies, among them are International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering, Malaysian Biotechnology and Molecular Biology Society and Malaysian Society for Microbiology.

She brings along with her more than 20 years of working experience in diverse portfolios in the green technology and biotechnology industry. Elina possesses a strong background in the private and public sector, previously driving biotechnology investments for 8 years under Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation (MOSTI), as well as driving green technology investments for 9 years under Ministry of Natural Resources & Environmental Sustainability (NRES). 

Elina has delivered more than RM55 billion worth of potential Investments for Malaysia’s Green Technology Sector from 2016-2025 She has personally engaged and nurtured hundreds of companies and recognition of green products and services in the green technology sector. In addition to that, Elina has been directly involved in human capital development training programs for the green technology sector which has produced over 600 participants from the existing workforce, and 300 youths through the human capital development programs for the schools and universities all over Malaysia.

She does not hold any directorship in any public companies and listed organisations in Malaysia.
