Nextgreen Global Berhad was honoured with the Biomass Industry Innovation Award by the Malaysia Biomass Industries Confederation (MBIC) during the prestigious gala dinner of the National Biomass Conference at The Everly Putrajaya on 7th December 2023. Nextgreen’s exceptional achievements in the oil palm biomass industry, particularly in converting the biomass into commoditised high value products were acknowledged. Moving forward, Nextgreen’s commitment to pioneering biomass innovative solutions remains steadfast, with a focus on the flagship industrial park, the Green Technology Park in Pekan, Pahang.

Nextgreen Global Berhad was recognized in the National Biomass Action Plan 2023-2030 by the Ministry of Plantation and Commodities for Setting Up the Biomass Hub in Malaysia

Nextgreen Global Berhad’s innovative business model of the Oil Palm Biomass Collection and Processing Centre (CPC) has been highlighted as a pioneering example for Setting Up the Biomass Hub in Malaysia, in Chapter 7 of the National Biomass Action Plan 2030. The CPC business model is the first of its kind, not only in Malaysia but globally, especially in the context of oil palm biomass commercialization. Nextgreen aims to establish 20 CPCs throughout Malaysia, with the primary goal of aggregating oil palm biomass, particularly empty fruit bunches (EFB). These CPCs will serve as one-stop centres for collecting palm oil waste, with the processed EFBs being converted into pulp and paper products.
